I'm Emily, Wife Mama Life-Style Photographer

I pick up my camera to find the beauty in the simplest moments in every season
I’m Emily, a storyteller at heart, drawn to life’s quiet, fleeting moments. Each season carries its own beauty, and I love capturing the small joys, the gentle connections, and the tender pauses that make your story uniquely yours. From newborn and toddler giggles to family milestones, I hope to preserve the memories that will linger long after the moment has passed.
I grew up in the country on a small farm, where animals wandered, gardens bloomed in rhythm with the seasons, and the art of preserving filled our days. In a tiny three-room schoolhouse, I learned the value of community and the bonds that hold us together. Before moving to Washington State, I met my husband—it was love at first photograph. A mutual friend had shared our photos, and we each thought, “Hmmm… I’d like to know this person. Maybe even marry them.” We did marry, and have been side by side for 17 years. Together, we have three children: our daughter Adelynn Paige, born sleeping, who would have been 9 this year, and our two boys, Emmett (7) and Collin (4). The boys keep me on my toes every day, yet they are endlessly kind-hearted, consistently helping us honor and keep the memory of their sister alive.
Before motherhood, I worked with animals in veterinary clinics, a passion that filled me with care and purpose. When our children arrived, I became a stay-at-home mama, longing to capture every fleeting detail of their early lives. Experiencing a pregnancy loss deepened my gratitude for the tender, impermanent moments of childhood. My husband, always practical, suggested investing in a professional camera rather than endless photography sessions—and seven years later, I am still using that very same camera. (Clearly, he knew what he was doing!)
Photography became my language, my way of translating life’s quiet poetry. While I have always loved art, no medium has ever spoken to my soul as naturally as photography. I am drawn to leading lines, the soft glow of natural light, the vibrancy of color, and the small, authentic moments that reveal the truth of a life lived fully. My passion lies in capturing authentic, caught-off-guard expressions that reveal genuine emotion.
I am fueled by coffee, always listening to Taylor Swift, and I find joy in the simple, soulful pleasures—wildflowers in bloom, the rhythm of gardening, the quiet magic of canning, and the comfort of baking. My approach is gentle, intuitive, and heartfelt, allowing you to simply be present and savor the moments as they unfold.
Photography, for me, is more than images—it is a way to capture the essence of your everyday life: the laughter, the love, and the fleeting, unguarded moments that tell your story. Every season is worth remembering for generations, and I hope my clients love their photos so deeply that they are proud to display them in their homes. As they pass a frame in their hall, may it spark a warm heart and a gentle, reminiscent smile—a quiet whisper of a cherished moment.

Fact 1

Spring is my favorite season—bursting with light, new life, and endless hope. Fall? Not so much. A gentle nudge that life moves on and nothing lasts forever.
Fact 2
Cruising down backcountry roads, windows down, screaming All Too Well the 10-minute version IS therapy. IYKYK (insert fearless heart hands ;) )

Fact 3

I never follow a recipe exactly… it usually ends in something delicious, and occasionally a lesson learned.

Fact 4

Muted colors are my jam; bright neon, not so much. Maybe I’m still hiding from my oversaturated vibrant ’90s childhood.
